Score keeping

How a visit is scored

  1. Step 1

    Tap the number

1 to 20 or the bull, on a keypad laid out for the oche.

  2. Step 2

    Pick single, double or treble

Three darts make a visit; the score updates as you go.

  3. Step 3

    Undo anything

Mis-tapped? Step back a dart at a time, even into the last visit.

What the scorer keeps track of

X01
301 · 501 · 701 · 901

Hit 1 → 20

Moves each player's target on as they hit it, 1 to 20 and optionally the bull, and times the round.

Count Up
Highest total

Adds up every visit over the rounds you choose and shows the running total for each player.

Bob's 27
D1 → D20 → Bull

Starts everyone on 27, adds each double hit and takes off the double when all three darts miss.

Shanghai
Long or short

Scores each round's number and spots a single, double and treble in one visit, which wins on the spot.

Killer
Last player standing

Assigns numbers, marks who has become a killer, and takes lives until one player is left.

501 and X01

Checkout routes after every dart

As soon as your score can be finished in one visit, the scorer shows a route to the finishing double, or any double or treble on master-out, and recalculates it after each dart. On double-out, a few scores can't be finished in three darts at all: 169, 168, 166, 165, 163, 162 and 159, the so-called bogey numbers. The scorer doesn't offer a route on those, and they don't count against your checkout percentage.

Questions

About the darts scorer

Is the darts scorer free?

Yes. Scoring every game is free, with no ads. A free account keeps your games and stats on every device.

Does it handle the bust rule in 501?

Yes. If a dart takes you below zero, to exactly one on a double-out, or to zero without the right finishing dart, the visit is a bust and your score goes back to where the visit started.

Can I play double-in or master-out?

Yes. X01 can be straight, double or master in, and straight, double or master out, from 301 up to 901.

Does it show checkouts?

In X01, whenever your score can be finished in one visit, the scorer shows a route for your out rule and updates it after every dart.

What if my signal drops mid-game?

Keep scoring. The leg is kept on your device and saved as soon as you're back online.

Can I play against the computer?

Yes: bots at four levels, from Rookie to Ace, for X01, Cricket and Count Up.
